Who does not know Halloween? Nowadays, this tradition is event celebrated in the whole world. The worldwide celebration is enriching the Halloween tradition. However, even though we can find various modification and modernization of Halloween, but there are some tradition things about Halloween celebration that we never miss like Jack O’Lantern. Jack is said as a guy who loved to trapped devil. He trapped the devil, so the devil climbed to the tree, then Jack put a cross sign, so the devil stuck on the tree. After Jack passed away, he could not enter the heaven, but there was no place in hell for him as well. Therefore, Jack should walk to the earth and only given a burning coal for his light.
Another traditional thing and even the best thing on Halloween that we never miss is the costume. In Halloween celebration, we are free to be whoever we want to be. We can be a witch, princess, dress like celebrities, and even wear sexy women’s costumes. This is the best day to express ourselves. “Trick or treat” this is a traditional sentence that we always hear when children in funny costumes are knocking our door to ask for candies. The tradition was taken from a Middle Ages tradition when in 1st of November, the poor are allowed to knock and ask for food from wealthy people.
Another tradition that we always carry during Halloween is ghost stories. Halloween becomes even spooky when the day is covered with ghost stories. Since 1950s, people make a campfire and tell the scary ghost stories. One best traditional thing of Halloween is definitely holiday. In the Halloween day, children are free from their school tasks and they can prepare for their Halloween costume in the day and walk around the neighborhood with their funny costumes for trick or treat. Various Halloween party supplies are set as well, so the neighborhood area feels spooky.
